Lip Lift

Lip Lift
In the world of beauty artists have viewed the face in three segments. Commonly, as the face matures or with the aging process there are changes in the facial volume and underlying body structures of the face. This can lead to an appearance of a lengthened upper lip causing an imbalance to the facial appearance. Dr. John W. Bass has been performing the Lip Lift to both men and women to restore the facial proportion resulting in a more aesthetically pleasing appearance and greater self-confidence.

The lower third of the face is comprised of the distance from the nose to the bottom of the chin. The area that the Lip Lift addresses is the distance between the base of the nose to the red portion of the upper lip. When restoring the face to its previous youthful appearance, it is beneficial to add a lip lift procedure which places a small incision underneath the nose in the normal shadow portion at the base of the nose. The lift decreases that distance and increases the amount of the red show portion of the upper lip. The result is a shorter appearing upper lip distance that matches their central and upper face balance and restores a more youthful, younger face.
