Cosmetic Injectables

Cosmetic Injectables
Over the 30 years of John W. Bass, M.D. Plastic Surgery there has been amazing advancements in techniques that improve facial appearance without surgery. Cosmetic injectables known as neuromodulators, more commonly referred to as Botox, give temporary correction to wrinkles in different areas of the face and neck.

Looking more refreshed, younger and more friendly is what many women and men are interested in achieving. With proper placement and dosing the neuromodulators (Xeomin, Dysport and Botox) create a relaxing effect to specific muscles of the face. Candidates are also using these injectables to prevent wrinkles as constant facial creasing begins. Patients who have had a facial surgery use the injectables to prevent wrinkles from reoccurring giving longer lasting results to their procedures.

Most common areas for treatment:

  • Forehead
  • Between the eyebrows
  • Crow's feet along the sides of the eyes
  • Vertical lines around the lips
  • Dimpled chin
  • Strong muscle bands in neck
  • Jawlines

Results become apparent within a few days after treatment. There is little to no downtime. The duration is typically between three and six months with most patients repeating the treatments two or three times per year.
